The School of Interior Design of Jain happens to offer only my course but with a wide approach in every field. The course is B.Sc in Interior Design with a duration of 3 years, at the undergraduate level. With a course rating of 3.6, it offers a wide range of programmes apart from the former mentioned. It lacks in the area of placement recruitment but in the 6th semester, it offers internships in various companies to apply in the list provided by the college as a 2D designer, 3D designer, product designer and so on as per what’s suitable for you.

For the admission process, an entrance test called JET ( Jain entrance test ) is taken over both online and offline mediums. To be eligible to give the entrance test the students should have attained at least 60% aggregate in 10+2. One flexibility is being able to provide the JET, in case you haven’t received your 10+2 result and you also don’t want to miss the test waiting for it.

9. LISAA School of Design

A younger institute just established in 2013 in Banglore, India is distinctively present in only international countries. LISAA brings to the table a lot of programmes like undergraduate, PG diploma courses and diploma courses. Due to international engagement, the college organises a lot of international events to increase the engagement of participants and to let them compete globally. This private institution goes for an entrance test called SEAT with prime eligibility of having passed in 10+2 from any significant board/ open school followed by a personal interview to finalise the selection for the shortlisted candidates who pass the criteria of SEAT. Only internships are provided for the third year students but no guaranteed placements.

It has a holistic approach in the courses from Bsc, BBA, BVA, BCA, BCom, to MSc in Interior Design and management & MVoc, which offers it all. The placement cell serves both international and domestic recruitments and also gives them exposure to real-life experiences through live projects and industrial visits and internships.

The recruiters are Prada, Interior Architects, Bridges Interiors, Kenzo, ACE Interior, and a few more. Exclusive In-house trainers for pre-placement counselling and training is provided with has turned out to be quite helpful. Presently, it offers certification and diploma programmes where the latter are certified through the NVUP a unit of the National Council for Skill Development. A renowned college with campuses in over 7 cities which Banglore campus also known as the R&D Campus of NID, stands in the top three positions. Established in 2006 as an initiative of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, has given a vast approach to the field of Design. Providing one course of interior design with a duration of 2 and a half years, M.des for retail experience. Basic eligibility criteria and age criteria are to be fulfilled to apply, followed by a Design aptitude test. Several placement opportunities from companies like eBay, Adobe, Myntra etc. are offered which is on-campus recruitment. This university was deemed as the “Institute Of National Importance”.
